Publix Super Markets Charities recently announced a $25.3 million donation to local United Ways throughout the Southeast. United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley in Columbus, Georgia was presented with a portion of this contribution, a donation of $169,000.

United Way of West Georgia receives $26,100 donation
Publix Super Markets Charities recently announced a $25.3 million donation to local United Ways throughout the Southeast. Patty Youngblood, president of the United Way of West Georgia, visited a Publix store and was presented with Publix Charities’ gift of $26,100 to her organization by Publix District Manager Randy Burt and Assistant Store Manager Wayne Woodring.

Announcement of $25.3 million contribution to United Way
Each year, Publix associates pledge to United Way, largely through payroll deductions. In 2015 associates pledged $33.4 million. Publix Super Markets Charities will provide an additional $25.3 million for a total of $58.7 million.
