Publix District Manager Rose Thornton and Store Managers Gary Bouton and Max Murray recently visited the offices of Hope Helps in Oviedo, Florida to deliver a $25,000 check from Publix Super Markets Charities. Hope Helps’ Executive Director Joan Faulkner and CFO Janis Williams were on hand to accept the check. This donation is part of a $50,000 pledge toward the organization’s capital campaign.

Hope Helps works to prevent at-risk families in Central Florida from becoming homeless. In addition to locating and providing much-needed services for those currently in need, the organization partners with local agencies to develop strategies that could help reduce homelessness in the future.

Hope Helps plans to name their volunteer break room in honor of Publix Charities.
