Publix Super Markets Charities sponsored the building of a complete home for Habitat for Humanity of Okaloosa County in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Recently, Publix Super Markets associates helped to build that home.

In 2015, Publix Super Markets Charities announced a donation of $4 million to more than 80 Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the Southeast. Now, we’re excited to share the progress as 40 new homes funded by this donation are built.

Publix managers visited the offices of the United Way of Indian River County in Vero Beach, FL to present them with Publix Charities’ donation of $221,800.

Publix managers visited the offices of United Way of Santa Rosa County in Milton, Florida, to present them with Publix Charities’ donation of $74,000.

Publix managers visited the offices of United Way of Escambia County in Pensacola, Florida to present them with Publix Charities’ donation of $130,000.

Publix Super Markets Charities and Publix Super Markets were honored to receive the 2016 Bob Thomas Star of Philanthropy Award on Friday, April 1, at the Annual Child Abuse Awareness Luncheon hosted by the Friends of Joshua House.

Each year, Publix associates pledge to United Way, largely through payroll deductions. In 2015 associates pledged $33.4 million. Publix Super Markets Charities will provide an additional $25.3 million for a total of $58.7 million.

Publix Super Markets Charities has announced a donation of $1.5 million to Feeding America and 12 member food banks. The donation will provide funding to assist in the transportation needs of the food banks.
