Mr. George believed that with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed, anything was possible, including a college education. He also knew many deserving students couldn’t afford the high cost of a four-year institution. To help, Publix Super Markets Charities established the George W. Jenkins Scholarship program. It rewards academically talented students who have overcome significant hardships in their lives. The accomplishments of a Jenkins scholar don’t end at graduation. For these young adults, it marks the beginning of a pathway to success.
