Publix Charities supervisor Tracey Carter and associate Courtney Wentworth recently visited the Achievement Academy in Lakeland, Florida to present Publix Charities’ donation of $94,800 to President & CEO Kristin Aiken, Principal Cindi Parker-Pearson, and Board Vice President (and retired Publix associate) Trish Buchanan. This donation was part of a special grant process to assist with one-time needs that was available to select non-profit organizations. The contribution will fund projects at Achievement Academy’s campuses in Lakeland, Bartow, and Winter Haven. Those projects include replacing AC units and washing machines, providing a shade structure, and repairing a van used to transport student meals. Publix Charities is proud to support the Achievement Academy which has been serving children with developmental delays and disabilities for more than 68 years.
