Publix Charities supports A Gift for Teaching

Publix Regional Director Trae O’Steen and District Manager Abe Gonzalez recently visited A Gift for Teaching in Orlando, Florida, to present Publix Charities’ $50,000 donation. AGFT President Jane Thompson and Vice President of Development and Marketing Angela Garcia were on hand to accept the check. This donation was part of a special grant process to assist select nonprofit organizations with one-time needs and will fund the purchase of a new pallet reach truck to replace an aging piece of equipment. 

A Gift for Teaching is Central Florida’s primary provider of free school supplies to teachers for their students in need. Publix Charities is proud to support their mission to provide classroom resources that empower teachers to inspire future leaders.
